How to check RD decision???

Hey guys I'm feeling very anxious right now. Congrats to the RD applicants who have already got admitted, but how did you guys know the decision?? I saw no change on my "Admission Checklist" and received no email about the release of the result! So I have no clue of when and where to check the decision! Any kind soul to help? ><!!! THXTHX!

They got early write letters.

If you’re in the US, you’ll get a letter in the mail, anyway. No worrying about when and where to check required. (:

Go to your USPS mailbox. Last year decisions were mailed out on 3/25, which was a Thursday. Best guess based on past years is, depending on where you live, anytime at the very end of this week or the beginning of next week.

What about for internationals? How are they notified and does anybody know a probable notification date?

i just called the office of admissions and the guy said theyre mailing them out either thursday or friday!!!
ahhh!!!

oh, and its only mail. nothing online or by portal…

im assuming it might be different for internationals… or you might just have to wait longer… :/

Putturani, international decisions are sent by both postal mail and email. (:

Thanks suitcases. So it’s coming out really soon! Ahh good luck everyone!

Well, they haven’t been mailed out yet, because I’m international and I didn’t receive an email yet.
Or maybe (i read this somewhere), they mail first and email later to keep it fair?

Swarthmore said they would sent out letters in “late March”. Best of luck to everyone :)

they were sent out yesterday.

I was just rejected by mail ): I’m from Pennsylvania, by the way.

Good luck everyone! It said in the letter that they received 6,500 applications and only admitted 378 students. VERY stiff competition this year in college admissions. I was very surprised

Just to correct again for anyone reading this thread. They are targeting a class size of 378. They will probably have accepted 900+ applicants in order to meet that goal.

omg that means ill get something in the mail tomorrow!!!
ahhh im so scared.

I was so NOT confident especially since I waited for RD. BUT a big acceptance envelope arrived in the mail today. It says “{This is the FAT one}” on the back flap. It included the FA award too. Postmarked March 24.

Fingers crossed for the rest of you guys!

Are internationals not receiving any email then? This is horrible. :frowning:
It’s not fair to make us wait so much when they promised to email…
It’s probably going to take ages to reach. Atleast a week.
I’m so very scared.

Congratulations DaVinci!

Congrats DaVinci! Where do you live?

@alexpappas13 I’m guessing (based on Swarthmore’s enrollment of ~1525) that they wanted a class size of 378, but admitted a significant number more. Not everyone that’s admitted will attend (last year, Swarthmore’s yield was 40%)

Has Swarthmore sent any E-mails to international students yet? Still waiting :/

will mails for international student be sent by snail mail or express?
