Did anyone receive anything besides confirmation that application was received? Link how to create portal?

Patience. It takes many of the UC campuses until January before you are given instructions to set up your admissions portal.

You check all these items once you have access to your portal. You can always call admissions to make sure.
According to this link, you should be able to log in Mid-December:
