I recently completed the FAFSA and CSS Profile, and sent a big package with noncustodial waiver letters and documentation and citizenship verification to each college.

Now what? How do I check that they've received everything and that I haven't missed any requirements? It doesn't seem like colleges have sites for this the way they do for admissions materials.

I remember spending several lunch hours making phone calls to Financial Aid Offices. The college that D chose is very small; I can always get ahold of a person and they’re very helpful. I’m not sure how it works if you’re talking about a big university, but I would definitely want to hear a human being confirm that everything is in.

I would give them at least a week from the time you last sent anything (btw, if you’re mailing anything else, registered mail gives you tracking) and then send the FA office an email asking if your file is complete.
