Go to https://sunetid.stanford.edu/main/SUNetIdApp/CreateApp and type in your Stanford ID number (the one Stanford sent in their "An Update from Stanford on the Status of Your Application" email). Don't create a new ID from the "other information" link, use the one from that email.

If you get a message saying "We couldn't find a match for the number you entered...", you are rejected.

Instead, if it says "The SUNet ID "xxxxxxxx" has been reserved for you, pending sponsorship.", you are admitted! Congrats!

(I'm rejected, btw)

PLEASE POST YOUR RESULT AND LATER, WE CAN SEE IF IT CORRELATES WITH YOUR OFFICIAL DECISION.

What if you’re waitlisted?

ETA: Well, obviously you won’t get a “reserved” message, but even if you don’t get the message, there’s hope!

are you sure this is legit?

This can’t be true, atleast thats what i think. I get this message

To activate services such as email, AFS, web, and calendar for this account, you must be sponsored by a staff or faculty member.

* Sponsorship of your SUNet ID will automatically activate your account services.
The sponsor will select a service level that determines which services are activated.

But i’m pretty sure I’m rejected

I’m not sure. But it’s worth a try.

PLEASE POST YOUR RESULT AND THEN LATER, WE CAN SEE IF IT CORRELATES WITH YOUR OFFICIAL DECISION.

@joiya550 Yep, that’s the reserved message. Why do you think you are rejected?

I got the reserved message, but I created my ID using the “other information” link. I went back and input the ID number that Stanford emailed me, but no match was found. I am pretty sure that I got rejected.

Did you use the “provide other information” and create an account? Or did you just try to log in using your ID without creating an account?

If you deleted the email, is there another way to get the ID?

Probably not… I think that was the only thing they sent.

If they don’t give us the decisions tomorrow, you can probably call them for your ID.

First, I used the “provide other information” to create an account, because I hadn’t known which ID to try to login wiht. After creating it, I saw this thread and tried logging in using the Stanford ID, but that failed.

what makes you think they will tell us before april 1? it says on website april 1

I can just wait for 1st april.

i agree…all of this is way too complicated for me

damn that means i got rejected.

Not that I really expected to get in, but not a great feeling to know that I got rejected before Stanford even sent out official rejection letters…

Yeah, I got to the right message by using other information, but not with application number.

:-(

Again, I don’t this means anything as any applicant can probably create an account. So don’t get your hopes down yet…

Yeah, waiting is nice. I’d rather read their nice rejection letter than a “ERROR CANNOT PROCESS” (or whatever) message.

i would not trust this method…nothing is confirmed just wait a few days…u never know
