How to check your decision NOW

actually the UCLA thing was valid for an hour (they actually had the words ADMITTED-____) before they realized it and took it down.

but ya, this one isn’t valid at all.

i’m just curious… what does axess look like to people who already have axess accounts?

It’s funny how even though I was relieved to find out this method was false after getting no access, I still know that I’m getting rejected.

wha??? what happened with UCLA?

^ A few hours before the official decision emails were sent, people realized that they could log onto the MyUCLA page and saw that if they were admitted, it said their name > ADMIT > and the college/major they were admitted to. UCLA eventually found out (from the excessive amount of traffic) within the hour, and fixed the glitch so that the information wasn’t available anymore. Then emails were sent out, and the info was accessible again. If only that would happen with Stanford, aha. ;D

haha yeah it happened within an hour. I was one of the ones who got in in the morning, but my friends who logged on an hour later couldn’t get in. So I pretty much knew my decision (though with no real confidence – it might have just been a glitch) from about 8 am in the morning but really couldn’t confirm it till 5pm on that day.

^I like reading the letter instead of just seeing the word “admit” or “deny.” The letter helps build suspense, and you get this feeling of excitement as adrenaline flows through your veins.

Wow I think I just referred to Britney Spears…

wow, I didn’t hear ANYTHING about that… was the first at my school to find out decisions were online though and from there other people decided to check. kind of an exciting night… haha.

guys, this is not true
there was the same rumor going around for early decisions, and mine wouldn’t work and I got in, whereas, others’ did work and they got rejected
sooooooo don’t believe this at all

THe SUNet ID remains same once it is created for a person. I created mine prior to last summer research and have been getting the above message once the summer session was over.

So I don’t think this is any way indicative of a status. Anyone can create the ID it is when the ID is approved for activation that you can say you are accepted.

i doubt this correlates b/c even if you were accepted, you would have to confirm acceptance before your id would be added to the stanford system.
stanford couldn’t have validated all the id numbers thinking everyone was going to accept the offer.
that’s just my thought…idk…perhaps it’s not true.

QUestion:

Don’t you receive a big packet if you’re accepted and only a regular envelope if you’re rejected? So, that’s not really suspenseful…

^ no, the only ppl who get any type of regular mail are admits…if u were rejected, then u can ask to be sent ur letter of rejection

So how do you know you’re rejected? email?

everyone gets an email. acceptees get a letter a couple of days later. denials can get one too if they request one.
