How to connect accounting and art?

I have an incredible passion for art, yet I do not see myself working purely in art in the future (one, because I feel that it is a difficult field to live off of, and two, because my parents are strongly against me going to art school). I was thinking of going into accounting, because I enjoy math, and it seems like a promising field that can branch off into different fields- as it is the basics of business. It also seems to guarantee some sort of stability
I don’t want to go into business management, business admin. etc because I am scared of the thought of having to manage a business on my own. I’m also not much of a people person (I have some level of social anxiety) so communications and marketing are quite intimidating to me.
I was also considering actuarial science, but am hesitant to go into the field because it is so limiting

I was wondering… is there any possible way that I can connect the fields of art and accounting ? Or is there a better combination you would suggest?

Going into business management or administration doesn’t necessarily mean you will have to manage a business on your own. There are lots of medium to large businesses that involve lots of managers and administrators who work together - so you’d really have one smaller corner of the business to manage. Over time you may grow your area of influence, but if you don’t want to run an entire business you never have to.

How is actuarial science limiting?

I’m usually pretty decent at connecting fields together, but I don’t see a direct connection between accounting and art. You can use art in business - through advertising and marketing in creating art assets for your company’s logos, websites, merchandising, etc.

You also don’t have to envision the connection right now. You can choose a major based on marketability and your own enjoyment of it, and minor or double major in art just for the love of it. Then you can figure out what to do later.
