How to convert PSAT Raw Score to a scaled score

Dear All,

I guess there may be some other people having asked similar questions before. I have tried googling the internet and this site. But I cannot find the answer. I am sorry if I missed the answers in previous threads.

Here is my question:

PSAT Critical Reading contains Section 1 (24 questions) and Section 3 (48 questions). Therefore, the highest raw score one can get is 72. However, according to "2012 PSAT/NMSQT Score Conversion Tables" at College Board site, the highest raw score is only 48, which seems to me it's only for Section 3 (<a href="http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/understanding-psat-nmsqt-scores.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://professionals.collegeboard.com/profdownload/understanding-psat-nmsqt-scores.pdf</a>, page 4).

So...

How to convert the raw scores in section 1 to a scaled score then?

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Section 1 contained questions 1-24. Section 3 contained questions 25-48. The total was 48 questions when you combine both sections. Hope this helps.

OMG, I cannot believe that I made such a no-brain mistake!

Thank you so much!!
