My parents, mostly my dad, are having trouble saying yes to sending me off to a boarding school. Although it's my dream to attend a boarding school. Please help me, if you have any advice that would help my parents understand. Thanks in advance!!!

my parents were exactly the same, i wrote them a letter and gathered information about the school and then gave it to them. I would be happy to help you with your letter or give you some pointers, i can even email you mine if you want some ideas. Just pm me if you need any help.

after the letter, they said yes.

Okay thanks a ton! If you don't mind NeLLyRaE, I would really appreciate it if you e-mailed me your letter, and any quick pointers too! By the way what school are you applying to?

And thanks Let.Love.Live for that site, I got a few things that I think I might be able to use.

okay, i'll pm you the letter to my dad. It's pretty long tho. I basically stated my reasons for going, talked about the school, talked about why my present school is not what i want in eduacation and used a bunch of quotes he had told me. Like he always says "be all teh girl i can be" so i put that in my letter as a reason to go the best school i could go to so i coul "be all the girl i could be" i basically just added a bunch of stuff like that so he woul HAVE to say yes. I'm applying to andover, exeter, sps, loomis and hill school. The letter talks about being allowed to apply to andover because that's the school my cousin goes to and what i thought would be the only school he'd let me apply to. (if any) but i always wanted to apply to other schools too and luckily taht all worked out. i'll go send the letter now.
