How to Deal with 3 Social Studies?

I picked the classes for my freshman year in February, but I really regret the choices I made :( I decided to take Ancient World History, Modern World History (my school splits World History into 2 semesters), and World Geography (elective) my 1st semester. Since it's definitely too late to change my classes now, do you guys have any tips on how I'll be able to keep my grades up? :)

How to keep your grades up? Wouldn’t it be the same thing as having 1 social studies class and 2 other classes? Unless you are bad at social studies.

Why can you not change your classes?

Usually, like probably 95% of the time, schools have a drop date deadline to drop before it counts as an F. Mine is like 3 weeks after the first day. Ask your counselor to make sure.

I’d try them out, and drop one of its too much.

To be honest, its a good tactic for students too take an ambitious load, and then drop courses when its too much. I did this throughout high school. Have to be weary though about spaces in the classes you want to get into though.

@dsi411‌ I think I’m okay at social studies, I’ve managed to get A’s for the past few years  I’m just not sure I’d do well because it would be a LOT of memorization.

@Sdgal2‌ I simply don’t know how to change it xD I don’t know who to ask, or if they’d even let me. I did submit the form 3 months ago, after all.

@gnastygnorc‌ I read the course selection guide, and there actually is a way for me to drop out! It says that it counts as an F after 7 weeks of the semester. But I’ll try the challenge first, and if I can’t do well, I’ll just drop one of them.

Ask one of the counselors of the prospective HS, you’ll get redirected to the right person.

Talk to your counselor. They should let you make changes. If your school is anything like our school, you can change until the end of the school year with no issues since they do all the staffing and scheduling over the summer. Even if they’ve done it already, they should be willing to let you switch as long as there is space available in the classes you want.

Eh I don’t want to lead you astray, so just to be safe I’d ask your counselor about if you can or can’t drop and when. Better safe then sorry.
