How to deal with Cs when applying to top colleges

Hey, i was just wondering how to explain Cs to colleges. Not saying i got like five but yea. Is there any way you can explain to them what happened or will the Cs obliterate my chances at getting into schools like Villanova and Boston College. I do go to a top 5% public school in the nation and im black i'm not sure if that helps at all.

Is it 1 C? Or more? If it’s 1 or 2, you have a chance at Boston College. I’m not too familiar with the undergrad program at Villanova (but I do know about its business school for grad and its basketball team), but I am sure the admission officers will be forgiving if you somehow balance those Cs with an enjoyable essay, high SATs, or a display of your passion for something. However, those components don’t guarantee anything. (= I’m assuming you’re going to be a senior this fall. Just try to make the best out of this application process with what you have.
