My university has a separate mail room for each dorm complex, no master mail room. I recently ordered something from amazon, I tracked the packages (3) through USPS, and they were confirmed delivered. But the package room does not have them, I checked myself. The package room insists USPS must have made a mistake, and USPS insists that the package room must have made a mistake-- and amazon says since USPS says it was delivered they are absolved from all responsibility. Now I am out $40 and there appears to be absolutely nothing I can do about it if everybody points fingers at everybody else, and this is the second time this has happened-- and I can't afford to repurchase what was lost this time. Any ideas of what I can do to resolve the situation? Short of accusing the desk staff of theft to force the university to give a ****, I am out of ideas.
