How to deal with rejection

comfort urself that i got a wrong mail.
probably the next mail might say sry for the previous 1.

Marijuana, video games and metal.

haha Drought, I like you. And your ways of dealing with rejection.

First tell her its fine, and that you’re happy being friends. Then **** all of her best friends. That’s how I deal with rejection.

^It is fascinating that he was rejected from Dartmouth and Accepted at Stanford. How random.

I’m very suprised too.!!!Waitlisted Harvard and columbia, accepted stanford … but rejected dartmouth??? If that happened to me, I would seriously give up all hope by the time stanford came along. but waitlisted is amazing in it of it itself.

AHHHHHHHH!!! I can’t believe its finally a reality!!! After 4 years of people asking me where are you going to college? what’s your major? what’ your top choice? How were the SATs??? I’m finally going to know where I’ll be the next four years of my life in just 3 weeks!!! It’s crazy how I’ve waited for this moment for almost all of high school, and now everything will already be decided by a simple online email!!

Idk why you guys are so stunned over the dartmouth rejection. Its a very, very competitive school. I personally would put it on par with Columbia in terms of selectivity. Though, Stanford is REALLY strange (even relative to HYP) in its application process. So, I am not sure Stanford’s admission decisions should be a source of comfort for any of us. All the same, we are indeed the best of the best and I have no doubt that all of us will attend GREAT schools (one of which is Dartmouth!)

Or in my case, the University of Florida. sigh

hahhaha Rtgrove is a Dartmouth likely; that’s why he’s backing the big D up. But true, Dartmouth is just as selective as HYP. People apply to HYP just for the sake of it, while D’s applicants (along with Brown, Cornell, Penn, and Columbia) are a lot more self-selective. Acceptance rates can be deceiving. Oxford, for example, accepts 20-25% of applicants, but then every single applicant is a BEAST at life.

I’m surprised no one commented on the irony of ‘The Government’'s response. I did a double… scroll.

I don’t know what I’d do in the case of rejection. Probably the same as the case of acceptance without an hour of smiling and angry/congratulatory comments from friends. Since UChicago’s acceptance I’ve been rather indifferent towards all my April schools (though I’d still certainly consider them). However, at least one would be nice.

There is the scholarship for the state uni though…
