I applied to five different graduate programs ranging from DC to Florida, and was accepted to all (well, I'm waiting to hear from one, but given my acceptance to the other four I'm not doubting there). My top choice was American University where I wasn't sure if I would get it. Other schools are North Carolina State, Florida State, Georgia and Old Dominion. I'm looking at this as not getting any aid other than loans. American has a huge advantage over the others in that it is a top 10 program. It is also much more expensive, whereas I could likely pay in-state tuition at any of the other schools by my second year. I also have to consider my wife, who needs to find a education job.
