how to decide sat to act

i have heard this discussion a lot but i;m still confused.

should i take the act or sat...or both.

and should i submit both score to college or just the better one...

i might be confused just because i don't understand the process of submitting test scores,

Your first question is simple.

Should you take the ACT or SAT?

Take a sample ACT. Take a sample SAT. The one you like more and the one you performed better on is the one you should take.

Should you take both?

If you don't mind paying and you're willing to study, then why not?

I don't know about submitting test scores. Can't help you there.

Well as for submitting both, thats up to you. If you are applying to a school the requires Subject II's you have no choice but to send your SAT scores, they are all listed on one report. However, ACT you can choose what score you send, if you take it 3 times you can pick your top ACT score and just send that. You can't do that with SAT.
