how to decline?

i was admitted to cornell, but I will not be attending. Rice had a simple "decline" button that I could press online, but all i could find for cornell is this:

<a href="http://admittedstudents.admissions.cornell.edu/doc09/2009%20Enrollment%20Deposit%20Coupon.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://admittedstudents.admissions.cornell.edu/doc09/2009%20Enrollment%20Deposit%20Coupon.pdf</a></p>

notice it only has the option to accept their offer of admission. How might I decline their offer?

wow, cornell found a new way to increase their yield…hahah just kidding.

there was something in my packet that came in the mail–it’s a small note that you send them that indicates you’re declining their acceptance offer. in the “case for cornell” folder.

my waitlisted-heart beats once more.

^ Amen, brother.

(or sister…)

lol, so I couldn’t find the withdrawal letter in the case book so I declined online. I don’t know if any one else had trouble with this but I did. I kept logging into the user name they gave me that was used in order to check my admission but there was nowhere to decline my acceptance. I figured out that you need to log on to the site that checks your applicant status, with the old log in information. From there, you can choose to withdraw your application which, as far as I can tell, is how you decline online. Just in case anyone was wondering.

^Do we have to decline it? Can we just not respond at all?

^^ help those waitlisted, bro!

Yeah, seriously.

There’s a card in the admit packet they sent you. Just fill it out and mail it in.
