This year I'm grade 10, taking grade 11 advanced math (I was doing horrendously for no reason when I understood everything, but now I'm bringing my teacher down & hopefully I'll end up in the mid-high 80 range... I'm such a disgrace). So next year I'll have to take Advanced Functions Advanced (lol) 12 and AP Calculus 12. My English teacher said you can pick which one you take, but I've heard from others that Adv. Func. is a prerequisite for Calc. Most kids who are going to take both do them at the same time, or do Adv. Func. in summer school (not a good idea, though). I was thinking that next year I could take both of these classes along with another math class which some grade 11 students take (Data & Stats 12), but my English teacher (basically my GC) thinks I'll die because I also have to take all 3 sciences advanced. I was thinking of getting both of the math classes out of the way next year & then taking a university math course in grade 12. However, I'm not sure if this would be a good idea. I'm aiming for Ivy League, but since those apps are such a crapshoot I'll probably never get in anyway... I'd like to be competitive, though!

So, I was just wondering if it would be more beneficial to take both Adv. Func. & AP Calc next year & then enroll in a university math course in grade 12... OR to take Adv. Func. next year & AP Calc in grade 12 & just forget the uni course. Thanks! :]

Oh, and also: Just in case, for some reason my math mark this year goes down to below 80, should I redo it in summer school? Would it look better to have it shown that I got a bad mark & redid it, or just to take the bad mark & move on & do much better the year after?
