Having been a ACT fan myself, I am used to straightforward math. The SAT includes a lot of variables, which is a bit difficult for me. How do you guys attempt the solution?
If a problem says K is 50% of A, etc, etc. how would you go about solving it? Do you use Subsitution (like PR uses) or Algebra to solve problems? I have a hard time imagining the solutions.

you can use both. if k =.5 of a, 1.5a=a+k

You use algebra (substitution IS algebra), unless you can imagine it in your head and save time…common sense really

Try plugging in easy numbers that you make up (like use 100 for percent questions, LCDs that are easy to divide/multiply with, etc.). Or sometimes you can plug in numbers from the multiple choice answers.
