How do I get xth root symbol on the TI-89? I looked in the math menu and I cannot find it. Xth root meaning the index of the radical. The main purpose is to evaluate radical expressions.

the xth root symbol is number 5 in the picture. That screenshot was from a TI-83.

You don't need the xth root function. If you need the fifth root, just type in (base number)^(1/5).

follow lola-cho's directions. Is that really a picture from a ti-89?

That pic is from a TI-83

Hey a good idea for SAT OS...Thanks guys! (Still gotta do perpendicular line one...)

That's what I thought (or at least not an 89)
