Hi, everyone. I am a freshman and am considering to transfer current college to another one, though prospective college has not decided yet.

Someone reminded me that I should check the transfer course equivalency with prospective college. And then, it will help me to select courses and don't waste unnecessary credits. (Even though I had already done first semester without looking transfer course equivalency and finished selecting second semester courses without looking it either.)

I tried to pick one chocice of my prospective colleges, and checked the list of its equivalent courses. I found that I didn't know how to do the equivalency!

For example, I took English Composition 1 for first term, I guess it is the course that every college will accept.

However, when I checked the list of transfer course equivalency at the prospective college's website, I was lost.

At the list, on the column of my current course, there are many courses that begin with ENG. I didn't know which one was the one I look for.

Is there anyone can help me out? Or, should I just contact staff of the prospective college with the courses I taken? And let them tell me if the courses are equivalent to their college's courses?

Hope I stated my question clearly. Thanks first! :)
