How to double major?

I was wondering how do I double major?

Currently, I'm a physics major that wants to also do applied Math.

So do I go to Murphy and talk with an academic advisor?
Then to a math counselor?
Then to a physics counselor?

Where are the individual department counselor's located?

Math Department is on the 6th floor of MSB. Physics Department is (I think) on the first floor of PAB. If you talk to any of the counselors they’ll be able to give you a full rundown of what you need to do.

I believe dinoian is a math and physics double major (if I remember correctly). He would probably know the whole sha-bang.

Yeah, I’ve got the forms signed, just need to turn them in. Are we in any of the same classes? Physics 115B or 112? Anyways, just get the forms from Murphy hall, bring them and a model DPR to each department counselor and a graduation plan that shows 4 years to graduate.

I was wondering if you had to take any summer school to get some GE’s taking care of.

I did end up taking 1 year of Summer school, took 1b, 1c 4AL and a GE, but I wouldn’t have needed to if I had known I had wanted to add physics earlier. I also came in with my 30 series completed and a GE accounted for, and have take 4+ classes per quarter, so if you want the time to be relaxedish, you would need summer classes.

Hmmm, are you a sophomore. If so then I feel behind already.

No, I’m a junior. Most other people I know that are doubling are taking 5 years.
