Hey guys, should I be dressing casual(jeans, shirt, sneakers) like in school or should I be well dressed for this interview?? Thanks!

I always wear a polo/khaki for every interview unless I’m told to wear a button up shirt with a tie and jacket or something.

Can’t go wrong with the polo/khaki combo.

I agree, i went over dressed in a full suit and tie

Although the information session is casual, it doesn’t mean you should be. Suit/tie/dress is overkill, but you still want the person you’re meeting with to know you’re serious about Cornell. So look “neat”–no T-shirt, sweatshirt, jeans, etc. Dress slacks/khakis, collared shirt works best.

I remember I wore a dress shirt and slacks for mine but honestly you could just wear a polo and khakis.

polo/khaki works for everything to be honest.

But substitute the polo for any dress shirt is fine too. I don’t like dress pants over khaki for any informal/semi-formal situation. First wearing black dress pants without a suit looks awkward… not to mention it’s semi-formal for a reason…

Totally agree. My son wore that and did great in his interviews and he was still comfy for walking around campus. You can always take a pair of jeans to change into.

A button down and sweater also works nicely at this time of year, with khakis of course.
