How to dress in college?

Ok just curious. I wear Brooks Brothers and Ralph Lauren, but is wearing Hollister all that bad? I'm from the South if that matters at all and go to a SEC school.

You’re not going to be harassed for what you wear in college in the same way people are picked on in high school. Wear what you like. Depending on the school, a lot of kids roll out of bed and go to class in their pj’s. Others dress up. Most fall somewhere in between and wear all kinds of brands.

In all honesty, people don’t care. You can wear the same thing every day and people will hardly notice. Just wear whatever’s comfortable. I walk around in my pajamas sometimes, and it’s cool.

Wear whatever you feel confident in that can manifest your identity.

Please heed this warning:

For your own health, safety, and business success; stay away from polyester, and other petroleum or plastic based polymers. They can be very dangerous, and most of the time, people have no idea the obstacle they are setting up in front of them by wearing polyester suits or polyester polo shirts.

Stay with natural fabrics such as cotton, wool, and maybe even some silk. It looks and breathes better anyway.

I strictly wear leisure suits to class.
On Monday’s, I usually go with my favorite to lighten my mood, the plaid green and white suit. Tuesdays and Fridays I alternate between my classic black one and my shiny blue one that I bedazzled. On Wednesdays, I wear the lime green/leather fusion LS, and Thursday is wild card day.
People seem to like my fashion overall, I get lots of smiles from the ladies.

Dress the way you want . Nobody really cares that much . Observe others at your school and see who you would like to emulate in your clothing style . Most schools have a wide variety of styles to consider , from preppy to Goth .

No one really cares what you wear, but if you go to an SEC school, your classmates more than likely will not be dressed in t-shirts and pjs. When I walk around campus, the majority of people are dressed fairly nicely. I have 8 AMs every morning, one of which is a 200 person class, and there are only a couple of people who aren’t dressy.

I’m too lazy to get all nice and my closet is full of t-shirts, so I wear t-shirts every day. No one cares. Wear what you want.

Stilettos are an excellent idea at all times.

No but really, wear what you want. It doesn’t matter what you where to class in college honestly. I have people show up in everything from sweats and t-shirts to skirts and heels. It’s whatever you want/feel like.

Depends on your school. Everyone in my school dresses fratty. If i can give you one piece of non-trolling advice, ditch the hollister and similar brands. Seems way too high school

i agree,it depends on different school. But i think nobody care it.

I see college as the time to be as eclectic as possible, so I’m trying to disassemble any boring left in my wardrobe and make myself look hilarious. It’s making me grow some character.

Be yourself. Be comfortable. Many colleges have their own dress code for the students.

Not a bad philosophy there Basajaun. College is easily the time when you have the greatest flexibility in what you wear and expressing yourself through fashion, so I would take advantage of that. I know that when I look around my campus it’s fantastic to see diversity and people just wearing what they like best and feel most comfortable in.
