how to find out if they received your forms

one of my teachers sent their rec in the mail on Thursday, and I want to know if Stanford has received it or not (isn't it 2-3 business days for them to receive it?), how can I check?

break into the admissions office and personally check to see if it's there.

that wasnt funny, if youre not gonna contribute anything then just dont post.

the only reason i ask is bc teacher sent in their rec thursday, i submitted form 1 online saturday night.

I have been researching about this too darther, but to no avail. In the application instructions web page, it says that we would be told how to track our materials after we send Form 1, but that never happened. So I think you should either jot a mail to the office, or wait until the deadline for them to give a missing part notice.

They will contact you if they are missing any letters and give you a couple of days to fax the missing stuff in.

Yeah, I agree with nngmm's post. I actually specifically called the admissions office to find out, and they said that after the deadline, they'll contact you via e-mail if you're missing any materials. If you don't hear from them, you should assume that everything is in. Don't try to call and ask them about whether or not they've received your materials yet though, because they aren't allowed to search the databases and give you an answer.

So does it mean that if we have all our forms in, we will not hear anything from Stanford until 15 Dec when we get our decisions?

Sounds a little strange

I remember that they sent me an e-mail last year, indicating that they received everything. In general, they will notify you per e-mail of missing documents. And no, they will certainly notify you before decisions are released ;)

My son sent his SAT scores to Stanford in June, after taking the last of his SAT II's. I am concerned because, of course, he didn't send in Part I of the application until recently. Should we just assume that the scores were properly received and filed? Have any of you been in the same situation? Thanks.

Whenever colleges receive a person's scores, they automatically make files for the person, regardless of whether that person has applied.
