how to find study group

How do I find some people I can work with on homework with? Preferably people in the classes I'm in? I tried the Courses 2 app on Facebook but it lists nobody else. I'm new so I don't really have any friends here; and I don't feel comfortable picking a random person in class and asking them. Thanks,

I'm in the same position. I figured that I'd just get to know some people in my discussion and form a study group with them.

What classes are you taking? I'll be your study buddy for Math 31A or Chem 20A. :)

I've found that just introducing myself to people I sit by in lecture AND discussion help me. I met someone in discussion just last week, and for the past two lectures we've sat together. Sometimes I find that those little questions each of us may have can be answered by the other, and we're already talking about studying together.

So just be friendly and introduce yourself to people who are sitting near you!

Getting study buddies is a hit and miss process. You may get one or you may not. But once you get one, you're set.

Introduce yourself to people in your classes and try to strike a conversation. Others are looking for people to study with too so the conversation will eventually lead in that direction. All this gets much easier once you start taking classes within your major because you keep running into the same people and become very familiar with them (ie, its not awkward to form a study group with them).

I'm taking Math31A (Brown) and Chem20A (Neuhauser).

Yeah, just keep on introducing yourself, you might be able to strike up a good conversation and even exchange numbers.

youre not doing Covel or AAP tutoring . . . for your math/science? that or stalking students during OH @ random TA or prof's

^^^ I want to be your study buddy. :)

No. I'm taking North Campus classes. We don't want you. Sorry. Go South where you belong.Thanks. Maybe you can come visit us and we'll make a joke of you - a puppet, if you will.
