How to find subletters this late

So it's late...we need 2-4 people in (hopefully) by June 1. We've posted on uloop, the facebook page and craigslist...where else should we try? What do people usually charge? (A lot lower than the actual rent? We're trying to cover the whole thing...)

Stick w/ Craigslist. There are many international students who come to Berkeley over the summer so think about which websites would they check out if they can’t find any more spots in the dorm.

Yeah I posted 2 days ago and got like 6 responses or more already for a June 1st beginning. That was on craigslist and they’re all like accomplished grad students who give way too much info lol

Most of them are spams btw.

Seriously? I got one of those, but are they really spam? =__= all the summer guys want odd times, like may 17-july (summer session, but still…we can’t get the place until june 1 -_-)

Are they really??? That would really suck if they are.

Getting a sublet agreement to work is something that requires compromise on both sides.

You’re probably gonna need to compromise a few days, and the subletter might need to have it for a few more days than s/he actually needs.

They might want to move in during the middle of June, but you can likely make them start paying a week in advance, etc. On the other side, you can probably round up to the nearest month. This type of negotiation aren’t necessarily deal killers if your place is priced reasonably and people want to live there.

Charge market rates. That is – look at what other similar accommodations cost and price your place in the same range.
