^Everyone has his or her own preferences, so there are, yeah.

^^ Yeah what works for me might not work for you. If you’re not known as being cocky or confident at your school, it’ll seem weird. You gotta ease into the role a bit.

I’m gonna disagree with you though that most girls like shy guys. When I was shy, I got absolutely nothing. Not even eye contact from girls. Middle school was hell. So I started lifting, playing sports, and became a brand new person in high school. Yeah, I definitely alienated some of my old friends. But I’m a million times happier now then I would have been if I stayed a shy little kid in high school. Just remember though, YMMV.

Oh well… I was just saying what I like . . . but you’re right… everyone is different …
@BigKev I’m sorry you had to change so much to get attention from girls… and I guess you’re right . . . I’m shy too (unless you get to know me really well . . . then Im not shy at all) and most guys don’t pay attentin to me… :/

Lawl, that must have been terrible.

^ You know it man. It sounds funny to me now, but I don’t think I held a single conversation with a girl those two years, outside of class. Hell I could probably count on both hands the number of times I made eye contact with a girl. I’m glad that virtually no one from my middle school went to my high school so I got to start completely new.

I think the biggest change in me is that now I don’t give a fwck what the rest of the world thinks of me. I’m not scared to talk to girls anymore because I realize that there’s nothing worse that she can do than reject you. I have absolutely no idea why I was such a ■■■■■ in middle school. I don’t think I could survive if I ever had to go back to the way I was. Thank god for high school.

All you bodybuilders, do you know how much lifting helps for running the half mile/quarter? Any of you guys run track? Because I’ve been wondering lately if I should lift to get increase my acceleration.

^ YES, GET INTO THE WEIGHT ROOM NOW.

My track team lifts 3 times a week, and we were four-peat conference champions before being dethroned last year (by some BS, two of our best hurdlers DQ’d, otherwise we would be five-peat champions). There’s definitely a correlation. Now I’m a sprinter, but I’m sure it’ll help for mid distance too. Besides, you feel awesome when you lift. Everyone should lift.

Time to hit the weight room again.

And lol… about the overconfident thing.

First year of HS… people thought I was a pretentious, arrogant, *******. Cocky and overconfident… and I thought highly of myself. Yeah the girls hated me.

Sophomore year… still hated me.

Junior year… not the same as the first years… but they don’t talk to me except to ask for things such as chemistry and math and cs hw.

You gotta be cocky and funny. Don’t come across as arrogant. There’s a fine line between being a ******nozzle and being confident. Don’t be the first one.

It’s really all about the mindset though. Be easygoing and fun to talk to and girls will love you. You also need to embrace the unexpected. Girls deal with a ton of tools every day and you need to set yourself apart. Come to think of it, it’s a lot like applying to college.

A self-deprecating sense of humor can go a long way in getting people to like you.

^ I like him . . . and he knows girls ;)

I meant ^^

I can’t be funny. I lack a sense of humor.

I lack the ability to express most emotions.
