Hello! I am taking the SAT on October 9, but I need some advice. As I have seen in this website, most of the posters have gotten scores above 2200. How do you do it? For how many months do you prepare? What SAT prep book or books do you use? How many practice tests do you take? Any more tips or advice would highly be appreciated. I am trying to pull a score of 2300. I have the grades, community service, and everything else to get to top schools, but my SAT is low (1690, yea I know embarrassing). Please help. Thanks!

You’re want a 600 point increase?

You will have to be very determined, follow advice, and never give up.

in my opinion, 2100 is very doable.

but 2200 and beyond u either need to be lucky or just plain smarmasmdasmdasmrasnfjasdhf ga

carefully…

Check out Silverturtle’s Guide. Then come back with more detailed questions. We cannot give you a whole course. That is where Silverturtle comes in. His guide should prove very, very, helpful. Except for maybe the Math section in your case, since most CCers don’t have any problems with that section.

It’s very possible to raise your score to 2100 by following review books like PR or Kaplan. Although, if you’re just posting this today, you probably don’t have a lot of time for a systematic review of the entire test. Have you done any practice tests lately and what were their scores? What kinds of questions did you get wrong on them?
