My GPA is a 4.2 my new psat is 1290 I’m taking 2 ap classes as a sophomore and want to do dual enrollment next year I was in cheer for 2 years and probably get a job and join robotics and ecology club for the next two years will I have a chance of being accepted by UF?

Sure you do! Keep up on your ECs (work counts!) and grades (GPA and class rigor is very important at UF).

Few students are admitted to the University of Florida purely on academic merit. While the potential for academic success is a primary consideration, UF’s holistic application review also considers a student’s personal essay, honors and awards, extracurricular activities, and family background. All information in the applicant’s file, academic and non-academic, is considered in relation to the size and strength of the entire applicant pool.

The middle 50 percent

The middle 50 percent of students admitted to the 2014 fall freshman class had the following criteria:
•High School GPA of 4.1-4.5
•SAT 1810-2060
•ACT 27-31

Edit: note that the above reflects the old SAT scores, the new one go up to 1600, I’m guessing a 1290 should be fine. You should plan on taking the SAT at least twice, maybe once this spring and once more in early Fall.
