How to get admitted into Princton Financial Engineering

Right now I am Senior in High School and I am wondering what it takes to get into Princeton's Financial Engineering Grad program, or any other reputable FE schools, such as what kid of grades, preferred majors, what classes I should take, ect.

I plan on majoring in Chemical or Electrical Engineering. At worst I will go to Ohio State into their Honors Program and in best case scenario I will go to Northwestern or Cornell. I also got accepted to UIUC's engineering if that helps my chances for the future.

I would def. go to UIUC if you are trying to go on for your MS in engineering

i’d suggest going to princeton’s website and taking a look at the resume of current students posted there – that should provide you with some idea of what attributes they seek. nyu also does the same thing, so that’s even more data points for you.

from my personal experience, getting into princeton’s program especially demands balance of mathematical maturity, programming ability, deep interest in finance, and working experience. there’s really no magic formula for admissions, although shining in all the dimensions i mentioned above can only help, i believe.

why would you want to do chemical/electrical engineering if you want to do financial engineering eventually?
