I’m a freshman who is hoping to take the bio m either this june or october. I need help on what you use to study. Right no I am currently using Barrons book taking notes. But i have heard from other people to just read. What should I use for test prep and how should I study? Any tips please and thank you.
@1989Student Hey, I am a sophomore who got an 800 on Bio M on the June 2014 test after freshman year.
School: very competitive STEM school, ranked among the top in the nation.
Prep book: Barron’s 2013-14 (it is a little harder than the actual test, but not hard to the point where you get intimidated), Princeton Review 2008-2009 (old hand-me-down. A lot of info, not all was on the test. The practice tests were somewhat accurate, though)
idk about Kaplan; I never used their book.
Practice tests: Barrons 1: 690
Barrons 2: 760
Princeton Review 1: 790
Princeton Review 2: 800
Took CollegeBoard diagnostic. 29/29
Rest the day before the test. Study by reviewing notes, but not by doing actual practice tests. You don’t want to burn yourself out the day before. Also get a good night’s sleep.
Space out the practice tests and review ALL questions–not just the wrong ones.
Study concepts for 45 minutes, take a 15 minute break
But still, the best way to study is the way that works the best for you.
