How to get an 800 on SAT II Biology w/out taking AP Biology?

Hi guys! I'm planning on taking the Biology SAT ii in november 2011. I won't be taking AP bio next year (I chose to go w/. AP chem instead). Many of you guys on this forum are great test takers and often get 800's. So, help me out guys! I tried taking sat ii chem last w/out AP chem and got a 640:( I'm still upset over that...but I'll retake that one. Biology, however, is just memorizing and concepts not calculations like Chemistry. So, perhaps I could score well on SAT II bio. w/out taking the AP class. What books should I use to review? Barrons, PR, PR AP Biology book? How should I review? I've got time and I'm willing to work hard for my desired score.

Thanks! :)

if i were you i would read from the barrons, princeton review, and kaplan bio subject test books since u have not taken ap biology. then take practice tests from each and take the practice test from the official subject test guide at the end to see what your actual score would be around. the first three books mentioned have tests that you will probably score less on than you normally would.

Barron’s is definitely enough, and PR is probably enough. I studied from PR while taking honors bio and got a 770. I think I didn’t get an 800 because I didn’t cover ecology (and some random other topics?) well enough.
