Hi, I am a new member here. I have been admitted by SIPA of Columbia University. But there's no scholarship or any kind of financial aid given to me. The tuition and fees are too expensive for an international student like me. How can I get financial aid for resources outside school?

There aren’t a lot of scholarships for international students. If you can’t afford Columbia, you can’t. You need to attend a college or university that you can afford. Did any other place offer you enough aid so that you can attend?

Did you apply for FA at Columbia? Or did you not apply for FA because you thought it would hurt your chances?

How much will your parents pay each year? If they can’t pay for all of Columbia, then what was the point of applying without asking for FA if you weren’t going to have the money to pay?

Or, did you apply for FA, and Columbia determined that you have no need?

Happymom is right. there are very few private scholarships for int’ls to pay for a pricey school…and probably none at this late date. Frankly, there are few private scholarships for domestic students that would pay that much. Private scholarships are for small amounts.

Did you apply to any schools that you can afford?
