Does anyone know a moderately cheap way, or even any way, to get from Boston to Ithaca, or even better, straight to Cornell's campus?

Drive. 5-5.5 hours. Check on ride sharing.

I'm guessing Amtrak Boston to Syracuse -- and then bus or cab from Syracuse to Ithaca. Not particularly inexpensive tho. Best option is ride sharing.

Check with Student Agencies. http://www.studentagencies.com/corp/ It's a long-established student-run corporation in Ithaca that provides all kinds of services that students need.

Student Agencies helps to arrange charter buses from Ithaca to Boston sometimes, although it may only be at times like Thanksgiving and Spring Break.

Ditto...driving...Boston to Syracuse to Ithaca works well

Short Line Bus also runs a direct one stop round trip trek from campus to Newton I believe @ $125 to $ 140'ish...est time about 6.5 hrs

P.S. Although I believe Short Line may only run at scheduled times as noted earlier...e.g. Columbus Day, Thanksgiving...Winter Break...etc
