Somebody has to, and everyone who gets in there is a phenomenal student. That’s how competitive admissions is now.
Then might I suggest the moderators of the Harvard forum close this thread and re-route it to the Georgia Tech thread, as that is your dream school.
Huh, I’ve never listed my gpa on any job application or cover letter. From my understanding, it’s usually only advised if it’s very high, particularly if you graduated with some kind of honor. But of course, that will vary employer to employer. If you’re applying to the kind of job we’re talking here, then it may be necessary. But in my experience, things that are more portfolio or performance-based, you can get away with not listing it, especially if you have accolades in your area of expertise.
But anyway, that’s just my two cents.
yea thats true, I dont even deserve to get into Harvard haha, No taking away from the fact that it is a brilliant school. I have my heart set on tech though although with my gpa it is highly improbable even with my act of 36
Well, I think It’s time you get “with the program”: https://collegegrad.com/blog/should-you-include-your-gpa-on-your-entry-level-resume
Given the above advice, for a first job right out of college, it’s always advisable to list your GPA and test scores on your resume. If a student chooses NOT to include their GPA or test scores on their resume, an employer is free to assume that student graduated with less than stellar grades – and that might reduce an applicant’s chance of getting a job – so, be forewarned!
Bottom line, OP projected a 3.2 or so.
And for intl affairs, they’ll see the B in APush and that you chose AP econ and psych over AP WH or Euro (or so it seems.)
You have to get a solid idea what they want from candidates. How do you think you’ll present for IA, with tutoring, something (unspecified) at a hospital, and asking about more sci? Can you tell us what’s “pertinent to my major?”
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Well, the OP needs to learn how to target his/her posts. In addition to the thread title, s/he said
Any, the OP does have a thread in GT, and since the conversation has shifted OT to resumes and GPA’s, I’m closing this thread.
