<p>Have no idea what you’re talking about. AFAIK IB schools have full control over who become candidates, but those candidates have to test to get their diploma. At my school it’s an application process based on middle school grades, standardized test scores, and a personal statement, but it’s very uncompetitive.</p>
<p>Oh at the schools im applying to its totally different, its basically just your grade 10 term one grades and EC’s.</p>
<p>Every school is different. My application package asked for a list of EC’s, grade 9 and 10 report cards and a personal essay. For grades, you should be in the upper 80’s to 90’s. Not that it hasn’t been done before, but people with B averages or lower don’t fare so well in IB.</p>
