I am currently a sophomore in college. I am majoring in Accounting and in Finance, and I'm very interested in investment banking. However, I do not go to a "top school." I know investment banking is very hard to get into, and very hard work. I wanted to know other's opinions on how hard it would be to get into if I do not go to a top school for undergrad. And what route I should take to try to get into investment banking. I am a very hardworker, and will have a very good gpa. I'm probably smart enough to get into a top school, but stayed closer to home due to family troubles.

Any advice given will be greatly appreciated, esp. if it's from a professional.

Would it be easier to get a MS in finance from a better school, and then try to get an analyst position? (I know that an MBA is basically required after working a few years as analyst)

Thanks!
