How to get into McCombs

So basically I just found out that I was rejected into McCombs school of business and was instead offered admissions for computer science in the college of natural science.
What I wanted to ask is if there is any possible way now to still get into McCombs? I recall during one of the official chat sessions with students from UT Austin a student told me there was an essay his friend was able to write, or something to that extent, during orientation that gained him admittance into McCombs despite initially being rejected. Is this true?

And if internal transfer is the only way, when is the earliest I can make that transfer and what should I do the improve my chances?

Thank you in advance

i was wondering this too because i also jsut found out that i was rejected and put in as a bio major.

Ah, sorry to hear that Chanel :/

Bumpingthisup

Same here… I really want to get into business, but I’m currently a bio major as well. I’m guessing the only way we can get into business is to internal transfer?

Yes, if you want to get into McCombs, you still have the opportunity to transfer as a sophomore and as a junior. Just work very hard in your first year, keep your GPA at 3.5+ and you’ll have a good shot.

I was wondering what I must do to transfer as an Undergraduate Studies. I was denied to McCombs and Cockrell so I’m not sure what I should do.
