How to get into NYU Grad for CS?

Right now I am a freshman at Stony Brook University, double majoring in Business and Information Systems (CIS). I'm not sure, however, how much programming I will pick up at Stony Brook, and whether that will be enough for going to grad school at NYU for computer science.

So for those of you with any knowledge of this at all, how much will Information Systems prepare me for computer science?

And how competitive is it to get into NYU grad school for it?

bump! Anyone with CS experience can help me with this?

Computer science is a part of the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU. This part of NYU is considered one of the most prestigious as it is one of the forefronts in mathematical research throughout the world. It is ranked #1 for applied mathematics, but for computer science it is ranked in the 20’s. NYU grad school programs at CIMS are pretty competitive. Overall, it has around a 15% acceptance rate for those who apply. I’m not sure how much programming you will pick up with your current degree though. If you know computer science is the field for you, why aren’t you doing undergraduate in it right now?
