How to get into Ross after freshman year

I haven’t heard back from Ross, but since I know I probably will not be getting preferred admission, what I wanted to know is how does one successfully get into Ross after your freshman year? What is the GPA threshold? How involved in extracurriculars does one need to be and what kind of extracurriculars? I heard that securing a leadership position is ideal. However, at my high school getting a leadership position as a freshman is almost impossible, and I would assume it is even tougher in college. What classes should I take? Would an honors math sequence be worth it, or should I take an easier math sequence to secure a better GPA? Should I join a business fraternity? Which one? How tough is it to get into a business fraternity as a freshman?

Thanks in advance.

First of all, there are no guarantees for admission into Ross. There is no magic formula that will ensure admission into the program.

That being said, the most important criterion will be your GPA your freshman year at Michigan. To have a good shot at Ross, a 3.7+ GPA with As in Calculus and Economics is recommended. Ross also likes to see involvement in ECs, particularly those that demonstrate engagement with the community. It does not have to be a business fraternity.
