More than 70 hours, every year she was part of band tutoring programs.
She was also involved with "Invisible Children" fund-raisers
And Small Change for good to help people out.

Also, Our school was underprivileged, that is SMALL (grad class of 400) with few APs and Honors (7 APs, 3 Honor Classes)

Yeah, the smaller the better

Someone told me that the bigger the high school, the better, because if you're in the top 10% at a bigger school, then you're better than more people than if you went to a smaller school. Is that true? My transcript said I was 28 out of 266 in my grade. So I'm 2 people away from being in the top 10%. Since I'm from a smaller school, is that more of a disadvantage or advantage?

I already have 60+ hours from volunteering at random races and events in Colorado since those seem to be semi-big here [Denver Marathon, Denver Gorilla Run, Greeley Christmas Parade, etc]. I've taken into consideration of what you guys have said on volunteering at like big things consistently. So this summer I plan on volunteering at the hospital and building houses for the Habitat for Humanity, both on a weekly basis. On top of that, I still plan on volunteering at races and events from now until the end of the year [all of the ones on Colorado Events and some other ones]. The ones on that website seem to be really good too cause it's like events for breast cancer and the homeless. Do you think all of that will get me set in the extracurricular/volunteering stuff? I don't really have any extracurriculars other than that since I don't play any sports and stuff

graduating class of 400 is NOT small. A senior class of 30 is small!

Thanks for the info I am a junior in HS and am hoping to follow those grades as well
Right now I have a 3.7 average but I’ll hopefully bring that up these next two semesters.

So I could use some advice from accepted students in Irvine. Which stats should I improve?

SAT composite: 1880
UC GPA: 4.17
ECs: I am primarily a musician. I’ve started and played in several of bands with friends and family. I also enjoy building things such as coil accelerators and basic robots. I’ve played drums at my local Performing Arts Center for 3 years of high school. I also love to play chess and will be starting my high school’s chess club next year with a few friends. I’ve also been part of the National Honor Society since junior year, along with NSHSS. Currently I am also perfecting my skills as a writer, and love to write horror and science fiction short stories, along with the fact that I am currently working on a unique science fiction novel series. Next year I will be participating in Kenpo, along with robotics competitions that are part of the robotics club. One of my favorite things to do for fun is math, and I’m constantly in my calculus and physics textbooks trying to learn new things. Also I am a local surfer and enjoy surfing as a sport, and am a friend of my English teacher who won a surfing competition against Kelly Slater.

Community service: Jazz Band concerts and beach cleanups 9-11 grade(have not started senior year yet). Sophomore year I took part in a 10 hour cleanup that removed a massive pile of debris from a shipwreck at a beach next to my local lighthouse, along with band concerts.

I am an out of state student living in Oregon.

Some notable information: Received full 200 points on my T.O.K. final presentation, which entailed working with a group of people I had never met before or even knew in the slightest. Was approved to switch from the regular English track to IB English HL. A particularly good thing is that during sophomore year I had regular easy classes and a 3.82 GPA, and in junior year I had IB classes and a 4.00 GPA (UW). The upward trend I should think will help out my admission. Senior year I will have 7 IB classes, including IB Physics SL, a zero period class that requires me to arrive at school an hour early.

I am set on either a double major in computer science and aerospace engineering, or just one of the two.

By senior year I will have 100 hrs of community service, I should add.

What if I have a 3.68 UC gpa but a 2000 SAT score? Sat is above average but gpa is below average.
^Just based on that info I would say it’s reach. what about your EC’s, awards, type of classes, and essay?
