Hello I am an undergrad majoring in computer science. I am considering going to grad school for a Master's degree after obtaining my BS. How would I go about doing undergrad research? Should I just email professors in my college's Computer science departments and ask if any of them have undergrad labs?

Go to the websites of your professors and look at their research work and see if there’s anything there that interests you. Then go into their office hours and talk to them about their research. They may or may not have RA positions during the regular school year or summer. They may also talk about RA positions on their research web pages.

Also watch departmental emails for RA postings.

Late next fall, look at REU postings at universities for areas that you are interested in and send out a few applications for summer positions.
