no reply yet ?
there is this LA kingpin who could answer in details.
I know one girl going there who did drama at magnet highschool but decided to go for film management, whatever that is.
no regular folks knows what USC is around here in NY and her mom was pleased I recognized its selectivity - thanks to LA kingpin who laughed at me before when confusing it with UCs or Cal States
she had solid ( I mean solid) academic numbers, control freak ( AKA great leadership ability), great interview personality-thou I don’t know she met anyone there- come from art /academic family (only child) who fueled all the stuff since her babyhood.
since she is not going to producing film, it might not help any, but it seems other thing you can do without film portfolio that you could cross apply within USC, if getting in there is your goal.
good luck!

My friends daughter just got in to USC. She sent an acting portfolio with pictures and DVD. She had excellent grades and great sat’s and sat II’s. She did go to an acting camp in the east coast, did very well and received a good rec from the professor. She did acting through her Junior year, but concentrated on grades her Senior year. This girl was a great package. She did have leadership positions, but nothing our of the world.

I’d suggest you post this question on the USC board where a number of SCA students and parents are active and helpful.
