I'm looking to increase traffic to my blog (As self-serving as that may sound), but I think I have a lot of interesting ideas and I want to know what people think about it. So how do I do that?

<p>Go on forums that deal with the things you talk about and put a link to your blog in your sig. Most of the time people will click on it out of curiosity. Also make sure you have a link to your blog on pretty much every site that you have a profile. You can spam if you want on sites that allow blog-linking (not here), and people may not like you for it, but it’ll probably increase traffic a bit. I haven’t really advertised my personal blog anywhere, but I get enough hits with new posts to make me happy to know that someone out there hears what I’m saying.</p>

<p>Basically, you write 50-300 word advertisements on your blog and get paid between $5-$300 (depending how high your Google PR is) for each advertisement you write.</p>
