I just got waitlisted by Pomona and I’d really like a lot of help regarding how I can still get a place despite the extremely low acceptance rate of the waitlisted. I already bear it in mind that the chances are slim to none.
I’d really appreciate it if people who got waitlisted and later accepted would help me by telling me how they wrote their waitlist letter. And also people who are skilled when it comes to essay writing…
So please comment and/or mention any people who would help…
You are waitlisted, not anyone else on CC. While it might be nice to hear from others who were accepted after a period on a waitlist, their success doesn’t provide a meaningful path for you. Think about what drew you to the school and tell the school specifically why you could contribute to the campus, activities, whatever you think is your niche. Now, from the cynical side of me. Schools may well have priority admits to take the place of those who rejected acceptance. You are working in the dark about your relative standing on the waitlist. Write a strong, honest, straightforward letter. To quote my mother…that is all the angels can do.
