How do you go about getting on the admissions borad at a university? I figured a lot of you guys would know. Do people seek out these jobs or just work their way up the ranks while working at a specific college . . . or something else?

<p>It's actually an easy to get, low paying job that many colleges advertise to their recent graduates. Becoming the director of admissions requires a significant career in academics or admissions, however.</p>
<p>when i get to be on the board of admissions, im going to remember to go back to CC and make my decision by the following things:
1) how desperate they are
2) how dumb their questions on CC are
3) how mean/nasty they are to other CCers
4) how arrogant they are</p>
<p>so count on me being in admissions guys, college is going to flip upside down :)</p>
