How to get over a bump

Just looking for opinions from other high schoolers

I took a course this year that was way over my head (chem 2 ap + lab), I'm really doing god awful in it (C first quarter, C- second, not sure on midterm yet).

At the beginning of the year I was putting in a ton of effort but now it is kind of coming to a halt. I just can't do well in the class on the tests, homework and labs are the only things really supporting me right now.

I have increased my grades in every other class I'm taking (ap physics 2, calculus 1, english, latin 3/4 ap, marketing), I just can't get my head around chemistry.

I've stayed after with the teacher but all of her tests have really dumbass conceptual questions that are basically impossible for me. I can't exactly afford a $50 an hour tutor, that's out of the question. I even dropped my ap european history class so I could pay more attention to chemistry, but it hasn't helped at all (just has allowed me more sleep).

I'm really having trouble keeping motivated, does anyone have suggestions? Has this happened to anyone?

Oh and I already got accepted to a university (RPI), I'm a little concerned about being rescinded but I don't really think it'll happen, my other grades are A's and B's.

if no one posts i will be forced to kill someone… getting so stressed over this it isn’t funny

1) don’t major in chem in college
2) calm down and work to hold the C

a C isn’t that bad. what you don’t want is to get so frustrated that you stop putting effort into the class. that’s when your grade will drop to a D or F.

also, if the university accepted you with a first semester C in chem, then they’re not going to rescind you for a second semester C. don’t worry. just do what you can, try anyway, and let go of the result. all you can do is your best. don’t overwork yourself, but dont give up either.

Drive slowly

I’ll keep that in mind
