How to get recommendation letters from GSI and what to do with them?

<p>So I have this GSI who is really nice but I don't feel like he got to know my personality, just more that I was dedicated to doing well. However, I'm going to end up with...well not an A. So should I still get him/her to write me a rec? What do I tell them to do with it and can i choose if it's used later?</p>

<p>you’re a freshman. stop worrying about it. you will hopefully find someone other than a GSI the next 3 years here.</p>

<p>Do not get grad school recommendations from GSIs. Especially for academic/PhD degrees.</p>

<p>Professors reading your application will not care.</p>
