I've heard stories about some people who got only a few Bs (the rest are As) and got rejected. o.o Rutgers is considered my safety, but...it's just that there's always that doubt of getting accepted. :( So how does one get rejected from Rutgers?

by applying too close to the regular decision deadline. your safest bet is to apply early action :)

yeah, i think i’m going to apply in october just to get it over with.
would they think it’s really bad that my gpa has steadily improved for the first 2 years, but then decreased in junior year :(

Rutgers continues to become more competitive for admission with the economic downturn. Many more students are staying in state and attending public universities. The average SAT for SAS was 1800 for students accepted for fall 2010. In past years everyone assumed they would be accepted. Last year many were shocked.

That is exactly what I’m thinking. I expect to get in, and then boom, rejected. >.<

I got a 1790 on my SAT, 3.7 gpa, 3 APs and I live in NJ. Do my stats seem eligible jerseygirl5?

First thing Rutgers looks at are SAT and rank. Your SATs are in range. If your class rank is good you seem like a match. However remember certain programs like pharmacy business and nursing are very competitive. So if you are looking at any of those its harder to judge. Good Luck!
