Hi all,
I’m a senior in high school and I was planning on running track to finish out my senior year, but I recently got an injury that’s likely going to put me out for the season, so I’m trying to find something to do this spring. I’ve always been interested in doing science research in college, but I know many students get involved in highschool. If I wanted to try and do research this spring and maybe into the summer what would be the best approach to finding opportunities. I live in a big city so there are many community colleges and state flagships close by. I was wondering should I just email community colleges or state universities? or should I go to the campus in person? Also is it feasible for me to do research for the second half of the school year or is this something I needed to have committed to at the start of the school year? any advice here is really appreciated.
Thanks
