So im in this Geology class thats 3 hrs long on mon. and wed. The professor is probably the worst i have ever had and is super boring. She hands out the notes and then just reads them all class in her monotone voice. I have only had 4 classes and i already feel like im going to go crazy

Yeah she wont let us use computers and kicks kids out that sleep , shes absolutely ridiculous worst professor i have ever had but i need this for my major

Yep, anything you can do to keep yourself busy with paper and a pen(cil), so you look like you’re taking notes. Crosswords, sudoku, word puzzles, coloring, planning your school curriculum/future classes, homework for other classes, doodling are all possibilities.

well if she gives you the notes at the beggining of class and then just reads them all class, and kicks you out if you sleep…i would suggest you sleep, then read the notes yourself

If all she does is read the handouts and you’re bored silly, why bother going? Just get the notes and show up for exams. Does she take attendance? Doesn’t sound like it.

I used to just take notes during lecture. Even if I never looked at them again, the process of doing it kept me occupied. It was that or doodling, which also happened, but I found I did actually pay more attention to the material while taking notes, even when the lecturer was boring.
